Summum was born of the need to feed our dogs with homemade food, with ingredients such as those commonly found in our kitchens but which are nutritionally complete and balanced.
Summum is made with natural ingredients. It is a new concept in canine food formulated by veterinarians aimed at giving our dogs the very best nature has to offer. This dehydrated food meets all requirements to be an excellent daily diet for our dog, as it is 100% natural and it is made with high quality ingredients. It is also manufactured in a Spanish food processing plant for people. Free from chemical preservatives or colourants, as well as grain free. Its balanced formula offers the nutrients necessary for a healthy dog to achieve nutritional perfection.
Lean pork meat
With a very high protein high-value index and easy assimilation, pork meat is also relatively low in fat and rich in monounsaturated fatty acids (as the oleic acid). It has vitamin B12, thiamin, niacin, riboflavin and vitamin B6 in large proportion as well as a high mineral content as iron, zinc, phosphorus, magnesium and potassium. Pork is ideal for growing season, to promote the vitality and activity and to facilitate a proper muscle functioning.
Lean beef meat
It has a high content of easily digestible proteins. Moreover, it is a meat low in fat and rich in minerals such as iron, zinc, magnesium and phosphorous. It also has a high content of group B vitamins.
Blue fish
With a very high quality proteins and easy assimilation. It has a high content in group B vitamins and is rich in phosphorus, calcium, iron, iodine and copper.
Potato
With lower calorie content than cereals, potato is rich in carbohydrates for energy recharge. It has a very high content of potassium and vitamin C, which is a powerful antioxidant. The potato also has beneficial effects on cognitive impairment and the immune system, and it is a good alternative source of carbohydrates for animals with allergy/ intolerance to cereals.
Carrot
With high content in carotenoids, compounds which are converted into Vitamin A, necessary for proper vision and to protect the liver from infections. Carotenoids are also anti-degenerative antioxidants, anti-tumor, anti-cancer and immune-stimulating molecules. For its high pectin content, carrot promotes gastrointestinal health, and thanks to the vitamin C and iron content, helps with growth.
Parship
Rich in carbohydrates and group B vitamins necessaries for skin, hair and nervous system. It also contains sodium, niacin, thiamine and vitamin C. It is diuretic and rich in soluble fiber, which makes it great to reduce cholesterol levels and fat absorption on intestinal level. Insoluble fibre of parsnip, on the other hand, improves intestinal transit and helps prevent certain types of cancer of the digestive system.
Spinachs
It is one of the foods with higher content of Vitamin B9 also called folic acid. Folic acid is required for DNA replication and therefore for multiplication and cellular development. Spinach it is also very rich in Vitamin K, which is a powerful anti-hemorrhagic and promotes blood clotting factors, and contains high concentrations of vitamin A, necessary for the proper functioning of vision and bone development in the growth phase.
Flax seeds
Rich in fibre and polyunsaturated fatty acids omega 3 and omega 6. It also contains vitamin E (antioxidant), group B vitamins and minerals like iron, potassium, phosphorous and magnesium.
Eggs
With high biological value proteins, vitamins (A, D, E and B group) and minerals (zinc, iron, selenium, sodium and phosphorous). It also contains choline, an essential compound for the proper functioning of the nervous system.
